PROJECT 3: Flash Project

My Flash project was based on all of my previous Graphics Design work
i decided to use these pieces as i enjoy using photoshop and creating images with it
this was the first time i used to create a full project, i had used it before in college to make a few buttons for simple websites, but it was the first time i made a full project on it.
it was quite difficult as i had to start with just a basic template, and the tutorials i read weren't based on what this project was bout
after playing around with the program for a while i learnt a few basics and came up with this.
i was quite pleased with this project as i am more used to using the computer rather than video cameras
if i was to repeat this project i would try and make the text more understandable as some of the slides can become a bit confusing
also i would use a bit more colour as it is limited to just a few
ovreall after the 1st 3 projects this was my favorite as i got to incorporate my graphic design side into my work. and also i found using Flash easier to use than premier.

PROJECT 2: One Sh0t Film

This was my second project, and for me the hardest out the 3
as it was diffucult to come up with an idea
after a while i decided to base this project on what i enjoy doing most. which is creating images using either photoshop or by hand
i decided to use art work by T.Magic as my influence by using 1 of his quote's in it
i liked the music choice as it is a very quick beat, as i also used for the pixilation, and seems to make the film move much faster, and a bit less boring, as its based on only 1 scene.
i am fairly pleased with this piece but i think i could have put more thought into the idea and done a bit more with the camera

Examples of Music Videos that use some different film methods

here are a couple of music videos that use very creative animation
and maybe something a would use in future projects

Kanye West-Good Life
i like this video alot as it uses a lot of illustration, as i like to do in alot of my 2D work from before Uni. also i reminds me alot of 1 of my favourite Graphic Designers work 'T.Magic' with the bold bright colours used

BEP's-Like That-
this video also reminds me in bitsof some of my own work, the rough collaged backgrounds make the video look raw and resembles each of the musicians characteristics, with the use of colour and image

Another pixilation vid

this is a animation by Blu
i like this particular piece as i feel i relates to my work best, as i like drawing
some of the animation is also really strange

Examples of pixilation: Plan B-No Good

Music video using stop motion
by Uk rapper Plan B made jan 2006
i like this video be its based on a simple idea of the man waking up and going through a normal day. but it has a few unrealistic scenes, such as him driving an invisible car, which doesn't make the video boring and keeps the viewers attention
i think that using a tripod and have all the photos at the same angle makes this video flow much better than without a tripod which we did in our pixilation project

PROJECT 1: Pixilation

this was my first group project. i was in a group of four along with Will, Dan and Danny
i think this film worked pretty well, being the first time ive ever made a film of this type. i used a selction of the images we took to create this particular film
the first part of creating this film was taking the photos, our group took about 1500 images, and i decided to use a selection of them into my movie. the next process was to put these images onto photoshop and add a few filters and colour adjustments to make the film a bit more realistic.
i think using the noise filter with the lowered contrast worked really well as the film looked much more movie like.
this was my first time using premier, but after a seminar explaining the process we had to go through i found it quite easy to use.
But some options i found unable to work sometimes, such as editing my particular music piece's start point and the speed of it.

Pinhole Camera

this was my first project
making a camera using just a beer can and some black card
the image is supposed to be of the Waverley tower, but it didnt come out properly.
this is what i got after a fourth attempt
it looks much more abstract than a photograph of the building, and after looking at it for a while it looks OK
